Brian Terrell founded GPL Technologies in 2003 and has guided its development as a leading independent provider of IT solutions to the media and entertainment industry. Today, Brian focuses on the company’s strategic direction, industry leadership, innovation and improving customer experience. He also engages directly with customers and technology partners throughout the country and the world.
A gifted entrepreneur and business strategist, Brian has focused on the technology, security andinfrastructure needs of large and small companies and organizations throughout his career. Prior to founding GPL, he managed architecture, network and security systems for government agencies at the local, state and international level
Jason Blum is responsible for guiding GPL’s technology strategy, including the development of next generation solutions to meet its customers’ needs in the areas of infrastructure, networking, media production and media management. He also leads the company’s engineering team, oversees human resources, and manages internal and back-office operations.
Jason is a talented technologist, writer and media production specialist, with more than 25 years of experience in designing, deploying and supporting integrated systems for organizations ranging from boutiques and non-profits to Fortune 500 companies. Prior to joining GPL in 2010, he served as CTO of Miracle Data Corporation, a Southern Californiabased managed services specialist. His background also includes five years as a systems administrator with Intel.
Additionally, Jason is an experienced music producer and mastering engineer with more than 40 original musical releases and official remixes for major label talent. He was co-founder of the electronic music group Deepsky and an editor at large for Future Music Magazine.
Keala Asato assists GPL Managed Services clients, providing strategic oversight and guidance in IT planning. He continuously monitors the performance of clients’ IT infrastructures and offers proactive advice for improvements in technology and workflow management. Keala, who joined GPL in 2011, began his career on the creative side. He got his start as an assistant editor at the commercial editing company Lost Planet. He later worked as a visual effects artist and compositor. That background helps him understand the creative goals of his clients and offer better insight into technology solutions that can help them work smarter and faster.

An industry veteran, Tom ran his own commercial production company in Chicago for 15 years before moving on to Technicolor to head up VFX in Canada; then to LA as VP/GM of West Coast Digital Intermediates. He joined Legend 3D and as COO, managed it’s explosive growth to multiple sites and over 400 staff. He’s a member of the Directors Guild of America.
Executive Sales Administrator
As Executive Sales Administrator, Jonathan Borunda provides creative companies solutions to the design of their unique systems in partnership with Account Executives and Senior Systems Engineers.
Jonathan began his career in administration and operations, serving as Executive Assistant to CEOs Laurent D (Privé) and José Eber. As such, he has had the opportunity to work with an array of clientele, from Hollywood actors and singers to directors and agents. Jonathan studied production at the University of Southern California, and worked on the production of several independent films featured at the Norris Cinema Theatre.
VFXnow General Manager
Warren Tuai is an IT professional with extensive experience in networking, systems administration, security and customer support. He works directly with GPL clients to ensure their networks are secure and deliver optimal performance. A zealous, hands-on tech, he focuses on addressing needs and concerns, and providing solutions.
Warren began his career with health care specialist West Coast Clinical Trials where he was responsible for administrating multiple Windows systems and providing helpdesk support. He later formed an independent consultancy, providing IT support to professional services firms and others. He received his IT training at DeVry Institute
Senior Systems Engineer
Andy Manukyan has been assisting post production companies with information security and systems management issues for nearly a decade. A Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Andy specializes in security compliance and technology risk assessment. He works with companies to evaluate security vulnerabilities, institute best practices and maintain compliance with content security standards set by the MPAA and other organizations. He also offers expertise in firewall configurations, storage and rendering systems. Prior to joining GPL in 2007, Andy worked in systems administration and computer aided design.
Emily Corbitt brings a creative approach to new business development and account management to GPL Technologies. She is entering her 7th year in an account executive role, focused on listening and understanding each client’s specific needs and goals. Prior to joining GPL, Emily has worked with a variety of clientele including movie studios, manufacturers, hospitals, municipalities, building contractors, and marketing agencies.

Emily was raised in Virginia and is the daughter of a retired civil engineer and a teacher. She received a BA in Communications from Chapman University in 2006.
Centralized Services Engineer
Kip Bowman manages GPL’s team of service desk specialists. He ensures that service requests are properly managed, tracked and addressed through to resolution. His group tackles a myriad of issues from administrative concerns to complex engineering and software matters. Kip brings broad IT expertise, deep interest in media and technology, and a passion for problem solving.
Kip hails from La Canada, California and earned a degree in film, television and digital media from Texas Christian University. Prior to joining GPL in 2014, he had experience in video production, IT services and music production.
Ron Sabatino joined GPL Technologies in 2012 bringing more than 25 years of experience in post-production and visual effects as an executive, supervisor and artist. He previously served as Vice President/Technical Director and Visual Effects Supervisor HTV Illuminate, overseeing its newly-formed DI department. As part of his role, he designed a tapeless workflow for DI and implemented a new infrastructure that included SAN, NAS, color grading and transcoding components. He also designed the infrastructure for Illuminate 3D, the company’s a stereoscopic conversion facility.
Ron began his career in New York City as a video technician for post house Editel. In 1983 he joined boutique editorial facility Empire Video and assisted in the launch of its visual effects department. In 1991 Ron became Director of Visual Effects at Pacific Ocean Post, where he acted as producer and lead artist on commercial, episodic television, music video and corporate projects. He also contributed to numerous feature films including Batman Returns and Waterworld. In 1995, he joined the Japanese game company Square as the Vice President/Creative Director.
Ron founded Valley Circle Design in 1997, a company that provided creative and technical services for sports broadcasts, feature films, television, commercials, web design, product design and manufacturing. His background also includes a post as Executive Producer/General Manager with Larry Levinson Productions, where he built a visual effects department that produced effects shots for high profile television miniseries and other projects.
