The media and entertainment industry produces a very dynamic and demanding creative IT pipeline. As footage is received, it needs to be organized, edited, composited, finished, visual effects need to be applied, and music needs to be overlaid.
This involves dozens—sometimes hundreds–of artists working simultaneously on various segments of the film, all pushing towards a common goal. This requires a highly-secure, centralized means of accessing media assets from potentially anywhere in the world. There are often hundreds, if not thousands of moving parts, a myriad of personalities to be aware of, and demanding deadlines that are non-negotiable. On top of that, often times the whole operation is project-based and winds down when the job is done.
All of these factors create a very demanding environment for technology partners, requiring them to be very flexible, highly adaptable, and extremely agile.
