Todd Cogan
President, GPL Technologies
Todd Cogan has over 25 years of experience in media and entertainment. He began his career working alongside 3D pioneer James Cameron during the filming of Ghosts of the Abyss and Aliens of the Deep, in addition to post-production on Titanic. Cogan served as Vice President of Business Development at PACE, the leader in stereoscopic production cameras. He was the SVP of Operations at Venture 3D, specializing in 2D to 3D conversion on films. Cogan joined NextVR (Acquired by Apple) as their SVP of Production Operations in 2015, where he oversaw production of VR content alongside the major networks and sports leagues for marque worldwide broadcasts. Cogan was then Head of Production for Themed Entertainment division at Pixomondo. Before joining GPL Technologies, he was acting VP of Market Development for BeBop Technology. Todd is based out of Manhattan Beach, California and enjoys spending time with his family and surfing.
J Roen
Director of HaaS, VFXNow
J Roen is an experienced technology professional with a diversified focus in the M&E space effectively supporting, engineering, and providing leadership to a vast range of creative clientele. Working from production to post, J has paced through reality, game shows, short and long form workflows, design and VFX, creative advertising and rental services with a strong customer facing approach. As Director of HaaS, J leads VFXnow with an effort to help unleash creativity using the latest and greatest technology provided as a service.


Ron Sabatino
VP Software Services, GPL Technologies
Ron Sabatino joined GPL Technologies in 2012 bringing more than 25 years of experience in post-production and visual effects as an executive, supervisor and artist. He previously served as Vice President/Technical Director and Visual Effects Supervisor HTV Illuminate, overseeing its newly-formed DI department. As part of his role, he designed a tapeless workflow for DI and implemented a new infrastructure that included SAN, NAS, color grading and transcoding components. He also designed the infrastructure for Illuminate 3D, the company’s a stereoscopic conversion facility.
